Akron Brass Turns Heads at INTERSCHUTZ 2015 in Germany

Akron shows off their latest innovations at world’s largest fire show

Wooster, OH, (July 6, 2015) – Every five years, Germany plays host to companies from all over the world. This year 1500 companies from 51 countries showed off their latest products in the areas of firefighting, disaster relief, rescue, safety and security.  Within the wide spectrum of Akron products exhibited, excitement surrounded the ProVenger™ nozzle family, the Revel™ LED scene light, the Matrix™ pressure governor and a 12,000 lpm (3200 gpm) monitor, the AeroMaster™12.

The ProVenger nozzle family now includes a smaller 1” (25mm) inlet size.  The expanded line of nozzles, in both the 1’’ (25mm) and 1 ½’’ (38mm) sizes, can equip firefighters to cover a wide range of situations like never before. From wildfires to gas cooling, they are lightweight and easy to operate. These nozzles come in both selectable gallonage for quick, flexible response, and fixed gallonage for ease of training and strong, steady extinguishing power. ProVenger nozzles are a reliable new addition to any firefighter’s arsenal.

The Revel LED scene light has a unique lighting pattern offering complete coverage of any scene. The Revel combines both a flood and spot pattern with a patent pending optics design. This light will make the darkest corner bright as day with a powerful 14,000 lumens. Unique to the Revel is the ability to adjust the output from high to medium too low to meet the needs of your scene. The DC Revel has multiple mounting options to fit any requirement around your apparatus. It is easily adjustable using an exclusive swivel requiring only the press of a button to change the direction of the light for ultimate flexibility.

The Matrix pressure governor detects discharge pump pressure and automatically responds to changes in the system. This intelligent system combines robust, trusted performance with unique, powerful features. The Matrix offers flexibility when combined with other Matrix controllers. The Matrix family allows for simple control of the apparatus pump system with immediate access to data and the ability to make changes quickly. The system is also compatible with Weldon’s Link2® wireless fleet management system and V-MUX® multiplex system providing options for control and access to data that has never before been available in the industry.

Attendees of INTERSCHUTZ 2015 got a sneak-peek of the AeroMaster12 monitor. This compact lightweight 12,000 lpm (3200 gpm) monitor comes equipped to outperform the competition with its superior straight-stream reach, patent pending fog dispersal and foam performance. Programmable for stow and deploy positions, obstacle avoidance and auto oscillation, the AeroMaster12 is the ultimate tool for efficient firefighting. Akron Brass is proud to deliver a monitor with a perfect balance of minimum friction loss and maximum water velocity for optimal performance. The AeroMaster12 will be available in 2016.
