Akron Brass Unveils Multiple Innovative Products at FDIC International

Wooster, OH, (May 29, 2015) – Akron Brass continues to excel in providing firefighters with innovative quality equipment they can trust. Akron Brass showcased several innovative products representing multiple product categories this year at FDIC International, held on April 23-25. Visitors to the Akron Brass booth were introduced to new entrants in the lighting, valves, nozzles and mobile app categories where they were able to get hands-on experience and meet face-to-face with Akron personnel.

 Akron unveiled its newest light at FDIC this year: the Revel^™ LED Scene Light. The Revel combines the best of spot and flood lighting by reaching maximum distance with the most coverage and clarity in a new compact design. This light can be mounted on a truck offering any of eight different mounting configurations for greater effectiveness in high-intensity situations.                      

The Revolution^™ Intake Valve brings simplicity and power to any apparatus. Its aluminum and stainless steel body features an easy-to-use handwheel for simplified valve operation. The Revolution’s space-saving design provides easy access to the pump panel eliminating interference with surrounding equipment, while flowing up to 2000 gallons per minute.

The Matrix^™ Pressure Governor combines robust, trusted performance with unique, powerful features. This intelligent device detects water pressure and automatically responds to changes in the system. The new Pressure Governor offers flexibility when combined with other Akron Matrix products. The Matrix family allows for simple control of the pump system with immediate access to data and the ability to make changes quickly and simply. The system is also compatible with Link2^® and V-MUX^®.

The ProVenger^™ Nozzle family just added its newest member in the smaller 1” inlet size.  Now the expanded range of nozzles, in both the 1’’ and 1 ½’’ sizes, can equip firefighters to cover a wide range of situations like never before. From wildfires to gas cooling, they are lightweight and easy to adjust. These nozzles come in both selectable gallonage for quick, flexible response and fixed gallonage for strong, steady extinguishing power. The ProVenger Nozzle is a reliable addition to any firefighter’s arsenal.

The Link2 Mobile App enhances the Link2 system by giving you access to your vehicle information in the palm of your hand. While the system allows quick access to the inner working of the apparatus, the app puts the information at your fingertips. Monitor vehicle operations and schedule maintenance from your own mobile device. All Link2 users can download the app for free in the iTunes store or Google Play store.
