This cost-effective and purpose-built disinfecting sprayer system consists of a small electric chemical pump, 50 ft. hose, nozzle, and wand. The durable, hard shell case is water-resistant and keeps the pump, AGM battery (not included), and charger/maintainer safe from UV rays and chemicals. 

 Akron FS100™ Portable Sprayer System carries a one (1) year warranty on parts only.   Standard Akron warranty does NOT apply.

Specifications

Sprayer System 

1. Sprayer system that allows the effective wetting of surfaces with liquid agents using a spray pattern.
2. System shall provide a sprayer wand with trigger control and a wide 110-degree fan pattern to allow wetting of surfaces with disinfectant agent.  A 50 ft long flexible hose shall allow easy deployment and movement of the wand.
3. IDEX FS100 piston style pump (12VDC) for use with the compatible disinfectant agent shall be rated at an output of up to 0.2 gpm (0.7 lpm) and a rated operating pressure of 150 psi (10.2 bar).  It has a built-in bypass for flow regulation
4. Construction should be able to pump disinfectant from the FS100 chemical compatibility bulletin and have the following construction: 
   • Body shall be constructed from Ceramic coated aluminum alloy for high strength and light weight. 
   • Plunger shall be constructed from ceramic for maximum chemical compatibility.
   • Internal check valves will be constructed of hastelloy
   • Seals shall be constructed from Viton for chemical resistance.
5. The system shall include a fixed pressure regulator with a piston constructed from Hastelloy and a body constructed from High Density Polyethylene to limit pressure for safe operation.

 Reservoir 

1. The reservoir (tank) shall be able to hold a minimum of 5 gallons and shall be constructed of UV stabilized polymer for chemical resistance.
2. Tank shall be able to hold any disinfectant from the FS100 chemical compatibility bulletin and have the following construction: 
   • Tank shall fill from the top without having to remove the tank with a large diameter inlet.
   • The tank shall attach securely to the cart 
   • Outlet of the tank shall support a minimum of 150% of full flow to the pump. 
   • Tank level shall be visible.
3. The reservoir shall have a lid to cover the fill opening.

Electrical Requirements 

1. The system shall include the following features:  
   • Retain a single Optima Model D34 deep cycle AGM battery with 750 CCA or equal.
   • The customer supplied Optima Model D34 battery, or equal, shall fit within the containment without modification 
   • Battery shall be of AGM spill proof type, no exceptions 
   • Should be rated for deep cycle (80%) or better 
   • Battery compartment shall be ventilated to prevent buildup of gases or fumes 
2. Harnesses and connectors shall be of automotive quality with a waterproof and chemical resistant design
3. On/Off switch shall be marine rated or better (IP67+) and of chemical resistant design 
4. Battery maintainer shall be rated 8-10 amps in order to charge and run the system simultaneously.  It shall also have an automatic trickle charge/maintenance/shutoff mode so that it can be left plugged in without harm to the battery and other electrical components. 
5. External charger receptacle shall be UL/CSA rated for full power and allow external 120 VAC power connection to allow operation from line voltage.  Connection shall have cover for protection from the weather. 

Plumbing 

1. Discharge hoses and fittings shall be rated above the working pressure of the system.
2. All hoses and fittings shall be constructed of materials compatible with FS100 chemical compatibility bulletin. 
3. Pump shall be protected by an intake strainer.
4. Three nozzles with different spray patterns are included.
5. Nozzle shall be replaceable with normal hand tools.
6. Spray wand shall incorporate a spring-loaded trigger to control the spray from the nozzle.

Enclosure and Cart Specifications 

1. The cart shall be mobile and be able to hold static and dynamic weight of all the components including 5 gallons of agent.  It shall have wheels and shall be able to be moved safely by one person. 
2. The container shall be water resistant construction and be able to withstand their internal loads without deformation.
3. All components should be UV stable and chemical resistant in construction. 
4. Cart shall have space to store spray hose and wand.
5. Pump and battery enclosure shall be able to be removed from the cart without need for specialized tools.
